Hi all,
I have an LRP Z.30R pull start on its way, id love to have bought the x competition version for the extra revs and bit of extra HP etc but its a bump start engine so its ruled out for our savages.
However, iv been doing some googling and just generally looking up info on the engine i bought and found this, i know its the same info as on the LRP site but i didnt think to compare part numbers between the two on their site and this has part numbers for both engines on one page together with a list of shared parts between the two http://aedownloads.com/press/in_022309_lrpengines.pdf
Both the engines share the same crank, crank case, con rod, burn room, bearings, wrist pin, o rings and hardware etc with the only differences being the cooling head (probably just different writing on the head) carb, piston, sleeve and backplate, now could i buy the X competition version and simply change the backplate from my pullstart version then add the pullstart itself and voila a higher revving slightly more powerfull LRP 30 X competition/pull start engine for our savages, or am i missing something here?
From what i can see this is very do-able, what you think?
Thanks for reading.
