What's up guys. I'm new here and have been beating on my savage 25 for about 2 months. I bought it used after having a TMaxx for about a week and selling it off to upgrade. I've been hanging around here trying to learn as much as possible and have convinced myself to buy an LRP Z.28 over an Axial .32. Is this a good choice or is going to be debated like a Ford vs. Chevy arguement? Also, what pipe should I go with (assuming a stock one wont get me by for awhile).

The truck is basically just a backyard basher that I jump some dirt hills with and run up and down the road.

Thanks guys.

awwww the savage has conformed another traxxas user always nice to hear!!! lol welcome to the forum buddy, and yes i would go with the LRP hands down!!!

I'm going with the ths pipe but everyone says the buku is the best. I'm still waiting on the lrp as well

welcome to the forums, a lot great guys with some great knowledge ready to lend you a hand. i'd hang tight until the LRP becomes available. if your going to put out the cash for a pipe get the buku.

buku would be my first choice or the ths pipes there really good too but believe it or not the hpi polished exhaust is a fairly good one as well and you can grab them on ebay for like $20.00

Hello Super,
Congrats ! I would say that the savage has found you rather than you finding it. I have the THS anodized pipe and it rocks. you will esp like how the header connects to the pipe w/ springs..it is tight.

I had problems with the polished and the lrp combo. Buku fixed them with out a doubt and now I'm looking at the THS. I don't recommend a buku/LRP combo unless you address the mid tank lean issue it will create. Header tank or mid tank set up is a must to get the most out of this combo. If not a good tune will turn into lean city!

Welcome to the Forum!

oh wow well thanks for the info bankrupter i didnt know they had issues when combined so thanks for adding your exp!! i've just heard many times the hpi polished pipe is pretty good for the money but i guess not on a LRP!!

Yea, I will stand behind that pipe too. But not on the LRP. Its low end just doesn't match up. It has idle issues and surges if you tune them out it goes lean on the LSN. So its just not good on the LRP. I will say nothing beats it on the K4.6H.O even the BUKU. But not here nor there in this thread.
