Only a few peeps here run the LRP .30 i think.

I run mine on the stock XL pipe and i think it runs great on it, tried a Dynamite 086 and the LRP.30 didnt like it one bit.

yeah eh, I just ran the stock 5.9 and was quickly reminded of why I bought the 4.6. I was running with my big joes but they shake like mad so until I fix my old mill or buy a new one and try to figure out how to get these wheels somewhat balanced I'm not running the truck.

Could be my tuning but that was just my experience with that pipe on my engine, put it on started her up and was like woah wheres the power, it was like driving my friends old 25 lol

Bud bud ?

yea just ignore who he says to use as a modder

On topic... call Dave at buku and ask him. last I knew he was saying no to the 5.9 its worth the call.

I'm not running the 5.9 with the buku I wanted to know if anyone has tried the lrp 30 with one. My 5.9 is a turd and is why I have an lrp 28 but the idle set screw is broken. The place I bought the engine says the parts are no longer available which is why I was inquiring about the lrp 30 because I have the buku pipe.

just taking a shot here, but have you tried the screw from the 5.9 on the lrp, see if it fits, i know the insert is different since i also have a LRP .28 and a f4.6, just a thought to see if they will swap, disreguard this if you have already compared them.

ya I checked that, it is considerably bigger, I even checked the needles on an old os engine and it's too big too. My hobby shop was able to track down a complete carb, should be here in 2 weeks roughly🙂

sucks when you have to purchase a complete carb for just the idle screw.. but congratz to be back to bashin soon

BuKu pipe

I have been working with dave for a couple weeks getting my new roar legal pipe tuned in and testing some other new products. I mentioned the original buku not really boosting the power of my lrp like it does on my xtm 457. He has a different convergence cone for the bigger mills now. I guess it has slightly larger holes than the "power cone" that came with the pipe. You may be able to enlarge the existing holes and get the same effect. I will ask him when I get him on the phone again. He has been working out in the shop lately and doesn't always get to the phone so email him and try the phone. I have his personal cell number but I am not sure he wants it out on the net LOL. He is planning on coming up here to do some testing at our local track and hopefully we can work out the tuning for the bigger mills. I am lucky cause he only lives like 35 minutes from baltimore. We are also working on something very big that is not related to exhaust. As soon as the patent goes through it will be posted for all to see.

ya I don't think I really noticed much difference on my lrp 28 with the buku, even with drilling out the holes to the larger size that Dave recommended. But that mill has more power than my 5.9 so can't really complain. Once I get the new carb for the lrp I'm gonna re set the tune with the tuning plug and see what I can get out of it.

I own a LRP ZR30 with a THS 825 pipe and it's pretty fast. I have a 25 with a three speed and a Force .28 and an X with the .30 and a 2 speed and the X absolutely dusts the 25 in the mid-top end. The ZR30 just seems to keep accelorating while the force is all low end

how are you breaking carbs lol ? i in my whole 8 years of nitro have not broken a single carb . side note you cant compare a crappy force mill to a lrp lol

well the lrp one, the idle set screw broke. Then the other day running with the 5.9 was just on the second tank doing some runs across the field and on the way back she started running wierd then died, as I walked up to the truck I saw the inlet side of the carb just hangin down to the side the aluminum part of the carb that goes through the composite part broke in half, no idea how it broke definatly a wierd one.
