Lrp .28 setup

Alright so I got a lrp .28 for my truck does all the stock clutch shoes and shims and bearings go on it or do I need to add shims?

Everything should just bolt up..... also leave all the needles at their settings and start and run in circles for 4 or 5 tanks getting it to at least 200 degrees before you start any kind of tuning on it, and make sure to put the piston at BDC after every run while it is cooling down, doing this will ensure a long life for your new

The stock clutch assembly will fit your new LRP. You can reuse your shims as well. Add enough shims in front of and behind the clutch bell so it lines up well with your spur gear. It should have as little play as possible without hindering movement in any way. It should sprin freely.

Is it okay to use permatex red rtv high temp gasket maker when sealing up the engine. The guy at the Lhs said to use a sealant that won't dry

Yes that's the best stuff to use

I got everything on buy my clutch bell isn't out far enough so I need more shims

you can only shim the bell so far before the shoes are exposed on the flywheel. you may have a bent or cracked engine mounting plate causing that misalignment, I have 1 shim on my clutch and it lines up perfectly...

Mine doesn't appear to be bent I'll mount the motor tomorrow and take a picture and put it on here how it lines up
