Well I recieved the awesome looking Packs today. I went a little over kill on them with the New series from SMC the C-MAX Line which has a rating of 40C. Bryan at SMC said I would be fine with the 24C's but just decided what the heck ill go 40C. Anywhy here are some pictures of these great packs:

Now just for the MMM setup.

Looking good Larsen. Now, get us some pics of the truck fully assembled, ready to go. Then we need some action shots. I'm sure that truck will be even more out of control than the FLUX, since the E is soo much lighter. Thanks for choosing our products and have fun.

Thanks,

Bryan @ SMC

Where is the best place to buy the packs Bryan?

Chris,

Stormer Hobbies, ask for Evan(MT), Superior Hobbies, ask for Michael(FL), Speedworld Raceway & Hobbies, ask for Billy(CA), Tower Hobbies, or any other fine hobby shop. The 40C+ packs are our #2 selling pack and they are a true "racer" pack. Thanks for your interest!!!

Alright, well i purchase a used set of KD700 Motors and a Traxxas EVX-2 Waterproof ESC for this to get it going. I also changed out the GCM Aluminum RB BL Chassis out for the RB2 Carbon Fiber chassis see: https://www.hpisavageforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9752 My plan is till to go to the MMM setup yet at some point yet.

Anyhow here are a few pictures of how it looks now. Pictured is a set of NiMH 2400mAh 6 cells but will be running the SMC Lipos above.

Thanks dude!

I'm on the market for a really good LiPo. SMC and Hyperion are my top choices. :motorcycle:

Snuff- The GCM Road Boy 2 CF Chassis is extended 1.16". The upgrade wheel covers were purchased from Tower Hobbies I believe for like $4.

Thanks for the link to your build...I have a HotBodies E-Zilla as you know..Same as a E-Savage..Iam running the Novak HV 4400 Brushless setup...Just using two 3000 MAH Ni-MH batteries and it rips really good..I will keep my eye on your build...Thanks again..

larz, you ever drop the MMM 2200kv in this savage? i saw your LiPo packs but no MMM in your savage.

need some vid too :stickpoke:

Geez sorry for not keeping this up. I have been running it with the LiPo set and it rips well. Been having a hard time keeping Axles on it even with the upgrade to the Traxxas t-Maxx 2.5 axles. So I went out and purchased a set of GCM SS Suspension with CVD's, I cannot wait for them to get here. They will widen the truck's stance out giving it some rigidity to the flexible stock arms and get ride of the crappy plastic drive shafts. Link: http://gcmachine.ca/index.php/rcstuff/sskit

I will post some picts of mine when they get here which sould be with in a week or so.

Chris at GCM is great and easy to work with and has great products. He is very smart and is very detailed in his designs. As some know GCM and PRC work together a little as we cut some parts for him in our Carbon Fiber.

There are pictures above with what it looks like before the arms. As stated I am waiting on the arms and cvd's yet so no pictures of them. I hope soon.

I will get some video once I receive them and the snow melts from the roads.

Man, id get some but I got roughly 30" of snow on the ground and roads are packed about 2". I'm thinking of putting a waterproof servo in it and putting a balloon around the FASST Receiver for added protection and it will be pretty close to waterproof. The only think I will have to worry about is my LiPo Low voltage alarms, which I may seal the ends of.

I will try to get some video at the Monster Jam event I have coming up at the end of January.

I'm sure the flux shocks will do fine. I would have went with the aluminum big bores like I have one of my Nitro savys but didn't want to spend that much. I figured this was a decent cheap way to go. I was just sick of the messy stock shocks leaking over everything.

. I was just sick of the messy stock shocks leaking over everything.

then you shouldnt have went with teh flux shocks. lol. mine have been good but i hear alot of complaints about them. try some of the white thread lock tape maybe. i think thats what ive heard works good.

Ya I will have to play with them. I'm sure they will be much better than the stockers. If the caps leak I will try some thread tape. the problem with the current shock for the most part is when sit they leak out the bottom. I guess we will see. I will report back if I have issues with them and what I did to fix it.

That's how I have them. There are some box's that will work as well. The stock chassis has some battery box's.

I use some killer Velcro with some Micro Foam behind them. The Foam helps keep everything tight. They really don't move around at all if they are on tight.
