Kidney Stone Extreme Close up!

So a discussion in the shoutbox about kidney stones reminded me that i had pictures of one of my Precious Stones. I passed a stone at work one day when i was stationed at Edwards AFB in an area where they had an Electron Microscope...its pretty neat to see what these things look like up close.....

LOL yes......... sometimes they are small enough that they don't hurt but other times yes they hurt.

My girlfriend has a cup in the bathroom from when she had the gall bladder removed a while back. Its full of stones that were causing her severe agony for a couple years. We don't have any cool close up shots of them though.

best way to describe the feeling of kidney stones would be "it starts out feeling like you've been kicked in the kidneys by a mule...and works it's way around until it feels like your dirty "danglers" were in a vise, and someone was squeezing the vise one them....HARD!!!"

I aws lucky and passed mine with out pain. It hurt for a week until I passed it. Looking at those pics makes me squirm in my chair.
