Well I went out to bash today after work and on the first pull of the picco I ripped my pull cord out, I took it apart in the field, of course I had no drill, so I re-wound it by hand and put it back together and 1st pull headshot pulled it through again, upon closer inspection I realized that the plastic on the spooler was actually broken where the knot ripped through. The guy at my lhs said It was ok to use a OWB from a k4.6 and pullstart on my picco .28. anyone see any issues with this? nick has none in stock and buying one from ebay.....I won't see it until sometime next week, lhs wants 29.99 for the ps. lol yeah right

The only issue I can see is that it won't fit, the hex for the K is smaller then the picco and the OWB uses a different set up as it has a pre mounted pin. The parts from the F4.1 are compatible but you may need a spacer with a hole in it to fit in the assembly. I had to make a spacer for mine but I have Grumpy's engine here and it looks like his came with the spacer, maybe send him a pm and see what part # he used. Hope this helps.

I appreciate it robin, I just ordered a new ps for the picco. Upon taking it apart and putting back together several times today I have come to the conclusion that it is very cheaply made. I know my mill is very tight so I loosen the plug to start then tighten it. I acutally pulled the knot through today, no just through the hole but through the plastic on the spooler. then I make 2 more 3/32 holes for mounting my cord to and same thing. must have taken my ps off and on about 12 times today no joke. even picked up some masons line from the hardware store for a new string....no good. I might go to roto BAH!

I'm finding that my 250cc gravity feeds so well, it loads the picco with fuel to the point where i don't even try to pull start without taking out the plug & evacuating the fuel ne more. but ya i agree, it feels like its gonna snap if i don't drain it.

another freak i bash with has same mill & tank and seem to have the same 'load up' going on at last bash.

mill seems to like heat too. doesnt mean much when your bashin in the middle of no where.

yeah I hear you fred, it does load up, sometimes I rip the truck right off the ground lol. I broke a section off the ps spring too. I'm gonna rebuild it tonight and take my time. As for it liking heat your damn right it does. doesn't want to do much until around 220. 240 is nice. It was 92 degrees today and I was running out in the sun for about 20 minutes it had just got to 235 by the end of the 1st tank. first 3/4 tank was a struggle getting it over 200. nova head rocks
