Update on MSR8 shocks. I could not let this rest. There has to be a reason why the shocks don't work. So far here is what I have found.
The o-rings that are installed have too small of an inner diameter and are to soft and stick to the shaft. I pulled the shaft out and with the o-ring compression nut completely tight ther is less than 2mm on the id. After looking at the o-rings and having a couple of them completely tearing on the id it is apperant they are to soft and too large. I took out all orings and installed viton o-rings with a much larger diameter and with the compression nut tight there was 3.5 mm id. Now I have not tried the shocks on the truck yet but after they sit they do not stick at all. I think this is also why the shafts are bending because they have now where to go.
I will do a follow up once I get all the o-rings installed. I had to order them and it should take a few weeks.
