newbie here with a brand new hpi savage x 4.6. But i cant seem to get it running. the high end seems fine but when i decelerate it stalls. but the idle is even worse. I either get it to start easy and it idles but it jitters and the idle speed increases sometimes or it is hard to start without some throttle and it idles ok. any help here? its been 2 days of messing and checking gaps.

welcome to the forum.. i think you need to put the lsn(low speed needle) back to flush if you adjusted it at all.. then work on the hsn(high speed needle) ritchen it a tad then once its adjusted good and you got nice power with good smoke ..itll have a lil slugish feel at take off...
but once its set then you can adjust the lsn in real easy don't take much on the lsn adjustments to see if it makes it run more crisp..good luck..

thanks for the help it was about 6 tanks running crappy. but i did the break in in the manual. i would've heat cycled but the thing never started right in the beginning. i finally just took the air filter off checked the gap again, reset all the needles and it happened to start right this time. i just tuned the high and low and eventually the idle. was a little high. but it runs great now. I was ****ed after 2 days of trying then it takes 5 min to get it.

For everyone out there. if it seems not right and you cant figure it out, reset, retune, and hope for the best.
