hummer h2

i was wondering what you all thought about the hummer h2. i think its the biggest pos but suposidly people think there better than the h1. i read an article in a 4wd magazine i get and it said that the hummer h2 was better than the h1. i have an h2 recovery team sticker on my bronco. and i get alot of dirty looks and i was wondering what yall thought

Youd have to give me one to drive it daily. The H2 is just a glorified Chevy pickup for twice the money. Now the H1 is killer but is not available anymore to the public as far as I know.

Don't get me wrong I am a chevy fan as far as trucks go but wouldnt buy a Hummer. My kind of truck is the GMC Denali however, i's still a car guy.

I would say the two trucks are in completely different categories and made for different purposes. The Hummer was initialy made for the armed forces and the H2 was meant for the public consumers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I just don't think they're comparable since they were designed for totally different purposes.

I had an 06 SUT and loved it for the most part. It was so fun to drive. I didn't lik the all wheel drive just because it felt like it dragged the power down on the 6.0 liter. It was probably the nicest riding vehicle I've ever owned. It is not to be compared with an H1, totally different platform.

all the h2 is, is a avalanche, how can you even classify that as a hummer. I'm sorry my gpa helped design stuff for the original h1 and i think that those are the best. id give up my bronco for one of those. i have these people that think because it says hummer, that its a hummer and they can go wherever. id like to see these people take there h2 and go 4 wheelin. they don't wana scratch the paint they wouldnt make it past the first mud hole before they have to turn around.

the H2, even though it's based on the full-size Chevy truck chassis, is indeed a Hummer. A "Hummer" (at least related to vehicles ) is a GM product line, while the "Humvee" (HMMVW) is the military vehicle. It just so happens the Hummer H1 was the same as the military model.

Go back to the 1940's, that's pretty much how Jeeps got into the civilian market. In their case, the civilian versions became a lot better than the military ones over time too.

That said, the H2 isn't really for me, but if I wanted a new fullsize 4X4 to do some serious 4-wheeling right from the showroom floor, it would be pretty hard to beat.

i see where your coming from but to say its twice the 4x4 for half the cost pissed me off because its nothing in comparison. and if i remember correctly its all half ton running gear. ive personally put my dads excursion where a h2 has gone with problems. yea on rocks I'm shore it would do better but as far as trails and sand upnorth we went everywhere he went. I'm just tired of these rich kids at my school who think there special.

honestly, i wansnt all that impressed with either the h2 or h3. they are both hard to manuver, especially the h3. lacks power for as much as you are paying for it, as far as I'm concerned, its an overpriced 4x4 scion xb.

A little off the topic, but I love my H3 (it is actually the my wife's). It rides nice and has a very solid feel to it. It only has a 5 cylinder so it is not going to win a drag race, but it does have some pep from a little engine. Gas mileage is decent also for a 4600 lb truck. I have been told the H3 is better off road than an H2 but don't know this first hand. Its also about half the price of an H2 and comparable to other SUV's in its class IMO.

the h2 and h3 are nice trucks but they are just over price chevy trucks,and u cant compare them to a h1 that is its own truck which is not made anymore because so many people are buying the h2 at least that is what a hummer rep told me the sister store to the ford dealer i worked for was a chevy/hummer dealer.I still like my gmc pickup better

The problem with reviews about trucks, is that the less it drives like a truck, the better it's going to be.

Take the Ridgline for example. Built on a minivan platform with a trunk and only AWD (FWD when the rears weren't needed), got raving reviews as a truck, when it has as much in common with a real truck as it would with a lily pad.

Stick with the things that are tried and true. Toyota's, and I hate to say it, but domestics too depending on what you need the truck to do.

ha i got my sticker from jeffs bronco graveyard. it take up the entire width of my window and about top down 4 or so inches. big white letters.
