Hi Guys

I'm a South African living in Uganda and there is no nitromethane here.
At the moment I'm using methanol & caster oil but I can't seem to tune it to run it properly. Anyone have some expert advise please?
It's 80% meth
20% castor oil
it's with the standard R5 glow plug
should I increase the compression?

i'd run
straight meth
7% castor
7% synthetic (klotz super techniplate)

if all you have is castor, take it down to 16 percent or so

Yeah I would think that's too much oil. I run Sidewinder 30% nitro, 10% oil. I don't know how well the methanol will work without the nitro methane mixed in. Send a private message to Robin of Extreme RC Mods (goes by the name 'Purenitro' on this site), he will surely have some opinion on this. If you can't send PM's yet, maybe he'll chime in anyway.
