    Don't look fat enough to be those. Maybe some Losi big bore from one of their buggies? Or some 1/5th scale shocks?

    My new to me X, got it already kind of souped up (XL plates, wheels/tires, LRP 30, etc) but I've been tinkering a bit and added and changed some stuff.

    Lots of wheelies means it spent a lot of time sliding down my street on its roof last run so I fabbed up a cage from scrap parts. It flexes good, but surprisingly strong with the backing I screwed in mounted to the body. Hopefully it will save me from cracking a head.

    @mrgrimm perhaps a savage xl roll bar/engine protector would work for you. The one on my X does a really good job keeping the engine from getting all scraped up.

    Yes I think that will be the next thing after this body is used up - This truck is missing the frame mounted roll bar that the engine cage attaches to, but looks like its included in the ones I'm finding on ebay...and less than $15 :)
