Don't look fat enough to be those. Maybe some Losi big bore from one of their buggies? Or some 1/5th scale shocks?

My new to me X, got it already kind of souped up (XL plates, wheels/tires, LRP 30, etc) but I've been tinkering a bit and added and changed some stuff.

Lots of wheelies means it spent a lot of time sliding down my street on its roof last run so I fabbed up a cage from scrap parts. It flexes good, but surprisingly strong with the backing I screwed in mounted to the body. Hopefully it will save me from cracking a head.

@mrgrimm perhaps a savage xl roll bar/engine protector would work for you. The one on my X does a really good job keeping the engine from getting all scraped up.

Yes I think that will be the next thing after this body is used up - This truck is missing the frame mounted roll bar that the engine cage attaches to, but looks like its included in the ones I'm finding on ebay...and less than $15

The HPI ribbed pipe. Actually, it gives good low end power, but man, is it loud. I ran one for a while.

I finally got the body painted for my savage 25/brushless conversion. Introducing the Savage Mamba!!

Just drug this out the closet. Was stock yesterday afternoon except the engine and the upper arms. I like it better this way. Lol.

Total cost of mid tank conversion was under $15 I repurposed stock parts from the X and a Savage 25. I have no idea what the tank came from got it used.

Besides the Savages and the BAJA this little 1/10 scale Associated SC10-GT2 screams in the Dunes with Paddles on. Fused two fuel tanks together with J.B. Weld and doubled the run time. Has a TIGER DRIVE for starting and I Modded the Body so I can Fuel up without having to take the body off.

Nice Box O Parts, That 25 should clean up nice, tore down the 25 I got yesterday Dirty as heck but all good except starting pin is stuck in Crank, Soaking in W-D for the night.

Nice ! Need to do it with all of mine really, the 25 runs so well for something that has been sat so long! The purple one runs ok ish and the other one has a knackered engine but a new one should be arriving tomorrow for it.

And to think a month ago I didn’t even own one Savage ! Lol

Sounds like you're hooked , don't tell the wife (if you're married) how much you are spending.
I completely disassembled the engine and will Seal-up so no probs. the Chassis gets some simple green tomorrow.

Lol engaged to be married next year, tbf one of the savages is for my son for his birthday on May and the altogether with the new engine and 4 savages they only owe me £360
