hey guys

what do ya think of this bearing by looking at it

looks to be leaking or do you think its just junk built up behind fly wheel?

Looks like it could be leaking a little excessive (Yellow tord bottom) and a lot of junk build up. The front bearing is not what seals the engine though. It is actually sealed by the tolerance between the nose of Crankcase and the front of the crank just in front of the air/fuel inlet.

When you pulled it out was the motor plate filthy in a line pattern just below the Flywheel?

idk

its freds engine

looks clean everywhere else on engine though

evan rite below bearing. wierd

It may just be junk there. You can either replace it or have him run it and watch it and he can replace it.

The front bearing will and can seep a little bit which is just fine. New high end mills will do the same.

It is possible to take out the tolerance seal on the front of the motor. This is done by dust intake or junk in fuel or a bad bearing with to much slop making crank rub on the crankcase.
