HPI 5.9 Engine

My HPI Savage XL 5.9 engine crapped on me today..........so I need to replace it. Should I replace it with;

(1) Same engine - HPI 5.9 engine

(2) HPI 4.6 (if I were to use this one, will it still shift to 3rd gear?)

(3) any other ...........What do you recommend?

5.9 is REAL hard to tune alot of people don't like it. Mine was great.
4.6 is a great mill good power, easy to tune and yes it will shift.
I like the Losi 454 myself just started using it but it puts my old axial to shame.

If you liked the way your 5.9 powered your truck I'd go with the lrp 30 or the new lrp 32. Nice user friendly mills that tune very east n hold a tune and put out awesome power.. but it comes down to your personal choice. Just m. O ..

I never ran axial mills.. but from what I've always heard. They are basically same as stock hpi engines.. so not an upgrade but a suitable replacement ..

I have that motor in my truck now it's a decent motor nothing super special I was looking to buy a lrp .28rr but been lookin at the Lrp.32 but can't seem to find any reviews

The lrp 32 is what I'm getting to. When they get in stock.. they just came out on the first so no one has them in stock yet. Should be a great grunt power mill.. using it in my truck puller build..

I currently have the axial .32rr wITH ERCM side bleed I'm really only ever bashing I wanted more off the line and a little more top end and have read nothing but good things about the lrp .28rr I think I might wait for reviews on the lrp .32rr and go from there

lrp .28 pr a picco .28 are what id say! both great mills.
