How do i remove carb??

Ok guys need help once again.... I will b getting a new crankcase (don't even go there LoL) so i need to remove my carb. I have a F4.6. So far i have tried removing i hex screw on the side of the carb, but it still does not come off... I'm worried i might break sumthing forcing it out tooo much... Well detailed explanation on how to remove the carb would be great and also do's and don't's when removing everything from the engine would be great.

Back the screw out about 1/4-1/2 of the way out and tap the back of your screwdriver to push the tension ring of the screw out the other side. but still connected to the screw. Do the twist and pull and it should work it's way out.

also, Squirt a little Wd-40 around the carb neck.

I couldn't get my carb out of my Axial .28 so I had to call Joey (Savageman46). That is what he told me to do and it worked.

got the carb out... Thanks guys. now just need to buy the fly wheel removing tool. From there the crank should just come off right?

Have you tried to pry off the flywheel gently. I've never needed a removal tool myself. Mind you, the proper tool never hurts.

After you remove the cooling head and the backing plate, you need to remove the piston sleeve. This can be tricky. Usually a zip-tie through the exhaust port and then turning the crankshaft, the piston will push the sleeve up enough to be able to grab it lightly with a set of pliers and pull it out.

Then, with the extra room with the sleeve out, you can remove the piston connecting rod from the end of the crankshaft and pull it out.

THEN, you can remove the crank. It comes out the back of the engine.

Oh, and be very careful to not lose the pin and the little spring that go in the back tip of the crankshaft when you pull off the backing plate like I did. They engage the rotostart mechanism.

Here is a good HPI walkthrough. Not quite the same engine, but the principles are the same. You will notice that the sleeve sticks up out of the block on this one. You are not so lucky with your setup.

Thanks GT-squared.... I have already removed the sleeve and the piston... i would not wanna take the risk of messing up any parts that is why I'm gonna get the tool... where i am its hard to get savage parts thats why i wanna be careful.. Thanks for the link and advice man...
