how do i get the piston out? hpi.21 engine

hi ive looked all over this site but i cant find anything about piston and conrod removal how do you get the piston out i think the small end has gone on my savage .21 engine tge piston is good so is the bore big end is ok but there is a little play in the small end ive got a new engine coming but i would like to mend this engine if its just the conrod thats worn can anybody help 🙂

Remove the back plate, and the head. Spin the the motor till the piston is all the way down. Stick a plastic zip tie through the exhuast port and out the top of the sleeve. Spin the fly wheel and it should push the sleeve up. If it just cuts the zip tie, try a thicker one. After a couple of tries it should push it out and just pull it the rest of the way out with you fingers..

once u get the sleeve out with get funks info theres a little wire clip that holds in the wristpin youll have to remove it but be careful it is spring loaded then just slip the wristpin out and change that and the rod both.

The best way to remove the wrist pin clip is in a plastic bag, you can see what your doing and the bag will contain the clip "when" it goes flying lol. If you roll it out it won't get deformed, grab the inner piece and twist/push it forwards as your pulling it out, try not to pull it straight out. Hope this helps.
