so i was lookin around on another forum and found this posted by a member on here
"On it you will see the blue groove sways. They work nothing like true sways and I will post soon with a true truggy set up sway system. don't WASTE YOUR MONEY worth 15 bucks at best. being that I'm fairly new to rc and hoping them up i went through the product forum and read all the reviews on the product. i am kinda peeved that the negative stuff was ommitted to what protect the sponsor money that vendors have to pay to advertise on the site? anyways the member should know who he is and I'm ot gona single him out but i don't think ill be back to this forum for a while, as i come to these forums looking for an honest opinion. if that is not givin to protect incoming moneys that means opinions are biased.
 
While I can't testify as to whether or not Blue Groove is a paying sponsor, I can testify to the credibility of this forum. Opinions and answers given here are truthfull and uncensored (except for the occasional language edit). If you read through some of the threads, you'll see that. If you got an issue with something that was posted here, say something so it can be addressed. Same goes for member issues. The mods and admins can't fix it if they don't know it's broke.

it wasnt posted here this was on another forum that i am a member of . but iread all the reviews in the bg products section and found no negative replies in the thread for there sway bars and ordered some up. if i would have seen this in there i would have asked the member some questions. like the pros and cons of the parts. up until now this site has been great for info but if members are with holding negative comment as they have to censor on there site well how credable is it really?

You really shouldnt judge the actions of one member for the entire site.

These Sponsors come here willingly. The only thing I will do is stop an all out bash session against a Sponsor. If something doesn't work all We ask is explain why, give your experience both Good and Bad. At the World Finals I saw countless Savages run the BG sway kit and not one failed. When I asked around what they thought of it most if not all said it improved to a degree there over all performance ( stability and handling ).

This is a Forum and that kind of stuff will happen. All this Forum ask is to be honest but constructive if you do have a complaint. It's the only way I think and feel as a hobbyist can we help one another and have a good time doing it.

This get's me every time.

Hope you stay around Mick, your a great member & have some great posts & stuff; a word that keeps coming up in your post is "opinion." Parkers review said that it improved the handling on his savage & i talked to him about it before i purchased a set...

ive read through this post several times ... just got my blue groove sways in the mail yesterday & i have to say that they are much different from my hellfire (truggy) but I'm sure they are gonna give me some stability.
.
anyway, go back to the other forum & post that it is a "luck day," cuz blue groove has a special on these sway bars right now for $14.00 which is a buck cheaper than what the post says they are worth... blue groove sways 😛eace:
 
i did the same thing would have liked to ask ?s as to why he thought they were not like real sways but he didnt put the negative feedback in this forum, which i have come to trust the opinions of the members here. Crash you have a pm. frddy i just got 2 sets for both of my savys as i thought they were a great deal.

Well I'm pretty sure I'm known for giving my honest opinion on things... ive seen the the blue groove sway bars on other members trucks but never used them personally on my own savage... i have my opinion about them but haven't said anything about them since i don't own them personally.. lol

i agree 100% i want to know if a product isnt all that great and on the flip side i love hearing about the good ones to and i see nothing wrong with stating a opinion on a product whether it be positive or negative as long as its done in a somewhat tasteful manner without bashing the company to the ground.. and also allowing some time after for this "vendor" to respond and possibly explain the situation and make things right i really wouldnt want this site to become a "mudslinging" forum as i've seen on others I'm hoping you will stay here with us, i don't know you personnally but will say this "i value yours and every other members opinion" and it because of the friendly atmosphere here that i stayed and i've learned alot here so I'm hoping this incident wont stop you from coming around!!
 
I'm gona hang around as i see the other mods and admins want to fix this prob. i just hope my bringing attention to this doesnt affect my membership here negatively. all i want to see is an uncensored unbiased opinion by all members good or bad. the part that bothered me was the line " i have to censor on my site" WHY?

If these are that bad or good why not do a review on them in your own opinion so we can all be aware on the problems you face...pro's/con's fit eas of install and so on.....they cant be that bad as you said it did have some improvement on your beast!!!!hope you stay around as this is the best well run site I can find!CHEERS....LEON

mickey don't take this wrong cuz i truly respect what youre saying, but i read the the post you put up from the other forum again & i don't see any negative feedback on the blue groove sway bars...

work nothing like true sway bars".......they don't even look the same or mount the same as a Truggy
they do improve a stock savage...thats what I'm hoping & what most have said that have used them on this site
you wanted to ask the hpisf member ??.....you still can.. send him/her a pm & I'm sure they'd help ya.. then you can decide to keep or return the blue grooves if you want.

In my experience basing your decision to buy anything on 1 person's 'opinion' is never the best way to fly.... maybe he used them in a different application than you plan to or something.

Again, i don't think the person said "Negative" ... the reason they posted on the other site was probably as simple as being respectful to our vendor/member and not a matter of money... as far as i know, no member or vendor has ever been approached or asked for a single penny on this site... anyway so far I'm happy with my blue-groove sways & will post a review after i beat the living snots out of them :resp: 😛eace:

i have them on all my trucks. i put them on the trucks i build and i love them. i will not say anything else do to how much drugs are in my system. I WANT THE LINK YO THIS OTHER POST ON THE OTHER FORUM.................
 
Yes truth is I don't like them. Find any post her where I have said they are good and told someone to buy them. You wont... I will not bash on any vendor on our site. It is out of respect. They do not work as a sway bar when installed as advertised. I paid close to 30. Not Worth that IMO as for what Fred posted if they are 15 now I paid twice that and that is a fair price! also one of the links that hold the bar has come apart on me. Just peeling not broke. I gave them a try didn't like them. I was not asked to do a write up on them so no need to post on them at all. Currently I do still have 1 half of the set on my truck. Other half has deteriorated. I also didn't say in that thread the I have close to 800 bucks worth of part I have bought to try that didn't do as advertised. I'm not going to make a bash thread on them all but trust me the list is long..

And yes I said that and??? I am a moderator not the owner. I only make sure rules are followed. I don't profit from this site in any matter. there is no list of what I can and cant say. I put I more hours here for free than Candy strippers.. I pay to support it truth be told. Anything I say anywhere has nothing to do with this site at anytime and just caz I respect the vendors here does not mean I like the product...

So why did I get hit for 30 bucks when they are 15?

Mickey you don't need to leave for bringing it up! I don't care that you did. I wrote that at 3 am and I was loopy tired. I still stand behind what I said but I was not told to not bash products here. I do that out of my own choise.

1st they dropped there prices and two if someone doesn't like a product they have the right to say so here. If there a member mod or admin. It is personal preference. some people have had issues and don't like larsens tvp's. i have installed his tvp's on a truck and there fine. would i use them myself, no. personal preference. What bothers me is saying that you censored your thoughts on our site. So you went to another site to post what you thought of them. It doesn't look good. I love the sway bars they don't limit my suspension travel. I don't care if you like them or not it is how you presented your self on byt that worries me. It looks as if you can't speak your mind here. That disturbs me.
 
yea I see that! It came off all wrong. Like I said it was 3 am when I tossed that in there and I didn't think about what I said and how it read. I did see it after all of this! Whats done is done. I did edit it but didn't take it down. Nor changed what I said. Just how it came out and what I meant. I don't comment on products here or anywhere for the most part. This is half the reason why. Its easier to be a drone and just help others out. I don't post in allot of threads just to leave my opinions out of them. I get challenged hard anytime I post anything with a opinion in it. But that is all the politics that come with being staff. Huge buzz kill for the most part...

Again Mickey don't feel bad bud! I miss worded that and its my fault not your's by any means! But maybe you see why I don't post on much. I alway do answer direct questions in pms and otherwise. You can ask a few members here I do speak my mind. Just not in threads because my posts are more than just words on a forum. I wish thay wernt but... I'm just a guy with a few savages.. Nothing more. In all honesty thank for calling attn to how I worded that. I may not have read it again for months and it needed to be fixed.

i wish you would post on products you use. it may help others. your still taking what i said wrong i think. i need the staff above any body else to be able to speak there minds on products and issues. If the staff does talk about products good and bad then it opens dialog for the members to tell people about there progress with products. If know one can talk about a bad product then what there are no bad products. come on people this is a forum share about what works and what doesn't. that's what a forum is. If you have a question on this most of ya have my number. use it.
 
Thanks for explaining what you meant Bank and rep to you for doing so. The truth is that I like this forum for just this reason. Things get handled in a mature manner! On the subject of product satisfaction, if there is an issue with something that one of the vendors here sells, say something. I know Mike and Heather @ Blue Groove value our opinions and use those opinions to improve on their products. They can't fix if they don't know it's broke!

since its out on the table now, i agree that you need to put more threads together like your ofna throttle mod in my sig... you see how many members benefitted from that mod that you did from common parts......
.
now, as for the sway bars, i know from my spies at the LHS & bits & pcs ive picked up in the shout box that you are working on a true- bar system made with common parts.... let's see what you've come up with for us Bank..

my 2 cents- This forum is great. I think this is water under the bridge. Forums are a great place to share hints and ideas and share thoughts on products etc.
As far as censorship- I've gotten in trouble (from other sponsors, not HPISF) for posting pro HPI stuff when other sponsors read these threads because they were not censored. Now Traxxas website mods censor EVERYTHING!!!

I cant honestly see another way to make a --->universal<--- savage sway bar. For the X I can. But all the 25's old ss's and 21.s out there...now in this aspect their product is sound. Any sway that mounts to the upper arm is not a sway bar. It does not transfer vertical motion. It does move up and down a bit but the part/roll it plays is more for horizontal force. HPI gave the mounts for a true sway bar in the X arm design. So the big picture is different than the small. For 15 bucks I have no complaints about BG's bar. For the 30 I paid I do.

I don't want to hurt any of mike and heathers sales. I'm not a jerk by nature. I didnt see the 30 buck price tag. Part of the reason I have never posted till now. At 15 bucks you cant do better...

Shhhhhh Ill post up soon. its only for the X xss and Xl and yes all off the shelf stuff so far. No profit for me. Just a true sway for racing the bricks..

bank I'm not out to offend any one but you are one of the members around here that has tried just about everything with a savage why do you think your opinion has so much wieght to it. i will agree that the way you worded thre post was what stood my hair on end . it is better worded now . i realy think that any vendor would appreciate an honest opinion about everyone of there products, even if it is negative . you could be that one person who looks at things in a way they didnt, and it will help everyone in the end to get a better product . I'm am sorry for bringing this up . i did not realize that it would have this much of a ripple affect. if i see something like this again ill pm the person with the comment. Mickey
