Hobby shops

I was in Las Vegas to watch the nascar race and was looking into some of the local hobby shops to kill time.And was surprized at the stock of parts for the savage or even losi parts the one guy asked me what hpi was.OK some of my local shops are not all knowing about rc cars and trucks but know the brands and the brands that they race. I'm from Calgary Alberta Canada and we have about five good rc hobby shops and we can pretty much get anything that day for stock parts and 2 to 3 days for specail order parts. so my question is what your hobby like or do you have to order parts

I usually order mine off the net because my nearest hobby shop is about 1 1/2 hours away. I usually use them if I need fuel or I need a part in a hurry. I have a couple of favorite sellers on Ebay that I can have parts to me in 1-3 days, so I can usually get running pretty fast.

I as well get most of my parts from the net. Either Ebay or try to use www.smfstore.com as much as possible otherwise my LHS is www.hobbieguyrc.com but he's about 1 hr from me as well. I also have a Hobby Town USA a little further but man there expensive so there a no go for me.

my lhs shut down on me. i have still to find a new one. it really sucks, cus there were a couple cute women that worked there. they liked r/c too!

my lhs is about 30 minutes from me but the problem is that they have a huge stock of blue thunder fuel which i hate but they are cheaper than everywhere else ive been

We have a few in the area but only one that caters to all the major brands about 30 min away. We use Ebay quite often to be able to stock parts but also found one of the shops that dismantles and parts out new trucks up on Ebay about 20 min away which has been our one stop shop lately for all but fuel.

I was at denseys , hobbytown and hobby town usa and really I thought that they didnt have the stock that I'm used to having.I probably have more in my work shop then these three stores and no I mean no aftermarket parts

mine lhs is about 1/2 mile from the house & although pricey, they have it all. if any friends are lookin for anything serious like a mill or fast lane or stuff like that, i always link 'em up to smfstore.com, their shipping is rediculously fast

eh vegas eh lol i use cutting edge hobbies if they don't have i order it and it comes in next ship or ill run to hobbytown or hobby people or smf if it came down to it
