Well he took over the site .. deleted all Staff including myself.. Caused a huge problem
 
I was there when he did it, there was half a dozen of us making threads and talking smack about him. I'm glad hes busted!
 
The gaming forum that I used to be staff on had something similar happen one time. This other site hacked our site and were trying to wreak havoc. They managed to have us down for about 2 days. So in return one of our members made their site disappear permanently :stickspank:
 
I think we got lucky and it could have been much worse.
It's so hard to trust people now a days. We were only down a couple of hours and didn't loose any threads or posts or regular members.
We, vBulletin and GoDaddy are pressing charges.
 
Our old America's Army clansite got hijacked...it was a free forums website (no-charge) and it got jacked...the idiot that did it was posting all sorts of really lewd pictures, etc...

we promptly moved to a paid forum hosting site, and haven't had the problem since, although we ****ed some other idiot off, and he threatened to do the same thing, although he couldn't touch us...

maybe the freesites just don't have the same security...I dunno...it's annoying as hell when it happens though...glad you guys were able to fix everything...
 
whats this world coming to.i say it goes back to home training.
my father told me once that there was only one thing free in life thats your name.you ruin your name and your screwed for life. he's dead and gone now but i will alway remember and teach it to my 2 kids
 
Hmm, prosecution from three organizations for pirating. Lets all guess how many hours of community service he will get!
