hey all,
First off hello! I'm new to nitro car and trucks but I've been flying airplanes and helicopters for about 7 years now. So far I want to say thanks for all of you in here as the wealth of information and willingness to help out is abundant! I bought a savage off of a buddy of mine and I was wondering if you could help me out in identifying which engine this has on it. I thought he said that we had put a 4.6 on it...? Also, any suggestions for glow plugs in humid, hot central, il? Finally, anyone livin g in the central Illinois area let me know and I would love to do some bashing and meet other savages! Thanks in advance!

Thank you much fellas! I appreciate the feedback. I am looking forward to taking this thing out for its first bashing with myself at the controls!

Funny story...went to the LHS this morning to pick a couple things up and a dude was standing at the counter in total disarray. He had is old T-Maxx up on the counter and was dumbfounded why it wouldn't work. He and the employee were talking about it's problems...something I overheard about crystals and his radio not binding. Well first of all....an old AM traxxas Tx won't bind to a Futaba Rx no way no how and I pointed that out. He was relieved to get an answer. But the funny part was he had the F4.6 on that T-Maxx, to which I pointed out it was a nice motor, however, you cannot polish a turd and the motor was better suited on a Savvy....so, a little wheeling and dealing with the poor chap and I traded the 2.5r out of ground pounder for his F4.6. Which will find its way into The Assassin and replace the XTM 24.7. Right place at the right time. Motor isn't even broke in.
