heat sink

I want to take the heat senc off to clean around the glow plug, do i have to have any kind of gasket or gel to put it back on?

nope...it just sits on the button head...if you pull the button head off (the portion that the plug screws into) make sure you don't bend or damage the shims under it...but no worries taking the heat sink off...

No No gasket .. there are head shims tho .. Make sure you put them back on ..

when you tighten the head use a X pattern to tighten them .. Or you will tweak the head

I just use compressed air. Even the canned stuff that is used for computers works well.

Some blue thread lock for the screws is a good idea, and make sure when you are cleaning it that you don't get stuff in the motor. Easy to check when you have the head off though.
