Anyways I have been working on my system in my truck for a while now....gather parts and such. Also with the first amp, it didn't go so well. It was a refurb and something went wrong, amp sent DC current to the subs and took them out also....Luckily the company warrantied the amp and gave me a FULL refund on the amp but also gave me a discount on a Sundown 1500d amp. Also DC reconed the subs for me, at the cost of shipping!

Well I finally got it "finished" but I just now noticed that one of my 6x9's has a blown tweeter so I gotta replace those...btw that is Jensen for you! (Crap!)

When I took these videos I had just put them in so I was taking it easy....

Will get some more videos later with them full tilt...

EDIT:

Here is some pictures that I took along the way....

First up is the before and after pictures of the Second Skin Damplifier Pro door kit. I would like to thank ANT from Second Skin, he put on a promotion at another forum (SMD) and while at first saying he was giving away *10* door kits...he wound up giving EVERYONE that entered one! He also gave everyone a wooden roller and the fury knife with extra blades!

I did that to both sides....Took a few hours but I got it done and it made a huge improvement on the sound quality and on keeping a lot of the flex down.

Next up is some pictures of everything I had before the install....

Next project is I am going to bondo the box I have and then paint it. Then I will be adding some fiberglass to the sides to make it look a bit nicer in the back and not just a "box".

I will definitely put up the finished...although I don't think anything is ever "finished".

Anyways DC is a new sub company, they make subs and amps. Subs are all made in the USA!

The amps are awesome, a few people have done bench tests on the amps and these amps are under-rated big time. At least the 1500d. One guy that did a bench test came up with 1900+ watts out of the 1500d!!!

Here is what he says about it.

POWER : 1970 Watts
AMP VOLTAGE (measured) : 49.25 V
AMP CURRENT (calculated) : 40 A
ACTUAL IMPEDANCE (calculated) : 1.23 ohms
SUPPLY VOLTAGE : 12.85 V

Voltage Measurment

Not sure about you guys, but almost 2000watts out of a 1500w amp is nice!

Amp ran me right at $340 (refurbished) but they are way more when new...refurb still came with the remote knob and then the same warranty as if bought new!

My highs include of 2 SoundStream 6x9's and 2 Jensen 6x9's (Jensens are going out asap!)

All 4 are ran off a Kenwood 280w 4channel amp. Probably pushes right at 200watts total

Lemme know freddy,

I have yahoo mainly...

Yahoo: hpisavage2514

I have some songs but mainly go with some that people have already played and that I liked.

I really don't like playing it in the driveway because I don't want to make the neighbors mad. I was at a friends house and his mom said I was shaking everything inside the house. LOL.

Yep that is Steve Meade for you....

That is the audio forum that I am on (SMD).

He has way too much money into that car....

Amps were $25,000 each and the subs are $500 each.

Not to mention his wheels which were like $10,000 then the brakes...it goes on and on.

My goal once I get out of high school and start making more money is to get some DC Level 5 18's and about 10,000watts but that is a few years away....

ya i've been to a couple competitions of car audio and this dude with a blazer blew every window out of his truck lol imy buddies yukon can pretty much make you sick by just vibrating you to much, lmao but thats to many watts for my liking ha ha
