So I Got My New Diffs Today The 4 Spider Gears With Shimes And Hardened Cups. My Question Is There Any Grease Or Oil Inside Already? Or Do I Have To Do That My Self? If So What Do Ya Reccommened? And How Much Do Ya Fill It? Also What Is Good Grease To Use For The Outside Gears? Let Me Know Thanks.

i got the same diffs and they where oily so i just put them in and greased the ring gear with auto grease and ran them no problem and 8 tanks of fuel so far

Yeah I would make sure you check them for lube.Just be careful that the diff gasket doesn't split on disassembly. I use regular auto wheel bearing grease inside and a product called Transgel on the ring and pinion only because I get those for free!I have never had a lube related failure but I know most guys like to use silicon oil in theirs. Also make sure you use Loc-tight on the 4 ring gear screws and make sure they are tight. If you can replace those Phillips heads with hex type and while your there make sure the backlash is set correctly between the ring and pinion.

Cool diffs and great price as well. You want to check backlash anyways-this is the play between ring gear and pinion gear when assembled. You want to feel a little gap between the two while holding one still.Too much and pinion tooth will break, too little and both will wear fast.See that thread for more info or search diff here-lots of threads on it.

It's just a matter of adding or removing shims between side bearing and diff case to move assembly closer to or away pinion gear.
