This is the exact same glow plug that comes stock with the savage x f4.6 engine, right? Same length and everything?

No that's a cold plug the stock ones are medium I believe...the cold plugs are for higher nitro content fuels like 30% look for awhile medium plug and you'll be good . Or hot. What fuel you running? Hot to medium plugs for 20% fuel. Cold for 30% fuel

I looked up the part # and its the same one that came in the engine which is an r5 cold. I always run torco 20% and it always ran good...plus its really hot out.

yes you r right in what you say an r5 plug is in with the engine it will also tell you in you manuel and it list all the plugs you can get I'm on a r5 at the moment as the weather as been hot now if it gets cold then i would go to a hot plug I'm running 25% nitro fuel

like I'm off out in about an hour and the uk weather is poor (there nothing new lol) anyway i will start with the r5 and see what temp I'm running and to get her to run cleaner and better and to temp i mite put a hotter plug in

howevery if your new to the sport and its been running ok with that r5 plug then stick to the r5 you can not go wrong i mean in the colder weather she wont run hot but if the weather gets hot and u have the r5 you wont melt your engine
