Fuel Brand/Type ?

I am brand new at this and just got a savage x 4.6 used. It is supposed to be broken in with about 3/4 of a gallon of fuel i don't know what type. But I was wondering if I should do the breakin again or just start rippin. Also what brand and nitro content would you rec ? Should i run a med glow plug ?

Can't go wrong withByron gen2 20% race and a McCoy MC8 plug.

Did you do break in with another type of fuel or is it still new?

Got it used and don't really know how breakin went or what fuel was used Thats why i was wondering if it was at all a good idea to do the breakin over

No need to do the break in if its already done. But if its only been ran a few tanks then finish the break in on it and let it rip.

So whats the big diffrence in the nitro content some people like 20 and others like 30

Racers usually use 30% Most bashers use 20% There is a difference in power an temp but the real difference IMO is the price. Its all about what people prefer.

30% will have more power and runs cooler. 30% over 20% is usually about $3 or so higher per gallon.

Some will say 30% is harder on the motor.

FYI: Typically if you run a higher nitro content you want to go to a colder plug. So like 30% use Medium to cold plugs and with 20% use a Hot to Medium Plug.

Nitro is a "super charger" the Nitro actually delivers more Oxygen to the mill than it can suck thew its carb alone.

I am also a byrons gen 2 fan. Have also run all 20, 25, and 30
