my aunt asked me to look into a r/c truck for my cousin. most likely an electric, because he is 8 now. i was thinking the wheelie king, or maybe the emaxx or the new slayer, but i am open to ideas. she said money isnt an object, but try to keep it on the low side for me.

the Emaxx would be the better of that list. The truck can grow with him. Brushless at 13 or so.

You can't find a better fun/$$ ratio. It was perfect for my son.

I agree with Whip his son is about that age, he can change the batts and drive the slash with no problem....

i was thinking about the slash. i was actually considering the nitro version for me. i actually have to teach my cousin about them, becasue he has had the radio shack ones for 3 and 4 year olds. but he was good about not hitting things and keeping the batts charged/

the slash ESC has a training mode where you have 100% breaks, and 50% throttle, the parts for it are cheap, and when he gets good at wrenching and driving it, he can always get the brushless kit they make for it...
