I wonder what came in the mail today.

Ohh yeah. My FLM TVP's came in today. I also ordered the servo plate so I can do a mid-tank. Any tank suggestions?
Can't wait to get this running. Just need an engine. Any one have a LRPZ28R case to give? There were metal shavings in mine when I was cleaning and after putting the sleeve on it grooved the insides.

Here's a pic half-way. You can see how extended it is and how long the new dogbone is. CRAZY!

Finished!

Overall, it was a great build. Everything fit perfectly. I did not realize that no motor plate came with the Extended version though 🙁. Ah well. That's on the list. Hope you guys enjoyed!

The next thing I'll be doing is a mid-tank mod. Things on my list:
Tank (Thinking MGT)
HPI Rush box
Extension cable

That's pretty much what I think I need for now. Hopefully you guys can come along and help me. Thanks!

Thanks guys!

nice truck. what tank you plannin on for the new project? cant wait to see it airborne!

I was thinking the MGT tank, but I'm not sure. I don't want to do the Mugen fuel tank because it would require mounting the servo somewhere else. I like it where it is now.

Nice looking truck you got there. How do those clear tires perform? hee-hee. 🙂

i tried the mugen tank but it held too little fuel & made painfully short run time. took it off & upgraded after a few runs.

scoby you know the tvp is drilled to mount it on the inside front of the TVP right?

tru dat bank, show him your pic so he can see how easy it is & can use the same stocker linkage.

You mean the servo right? I know you can mount it there. But I had other plans for those holes. My roll bar perfectly lines up on those holes. Plus I'm too cheap to buy more servo mounts.

Okay guys, here's what I've come up with.

I will be using the Hellfire tank. It seems to fit perfect over the servo in it's position as it is now. I just need to find how to mount it. I will also be using the HPI rush radio box on the towers in the front. I don't know where I will be mounting my Rx. Any suggestions? I don't like the look of the RPM box hanging on the side, so maybe somewhere in the rear? Kyosho box? Also, does anybody know if they make a linkage kit with everything I will need?

Perfect. Thanks! Looking at the first link, it should come with sliders already. I'm going to be picking up some other stuff from Nick anyways, so this will definitely help.

I also went ahead and purchased the alu. pipe mount set to mount my 086. Should look really clean.

looking foawrd to see the finsh product coby and of corse vids anyways pick up a few extra sliders never know if you need them and have to wait

Hey guys, I have a question.

Has anybody used an MGT tank with the FLM servo plate w/ the servo mounted onto the tank? The MGT tank is the only tank I want to use, and maybe the Hellfire tank. I think moving the servo to the left side will work better help fit the tank, but can anyone guarantee that it will work? Thanks!

Update? Yessir.

Got my tank mounted. I used the MGT tank, so I am going to have to move my servo to the inside. I heard something about dremeling part of the skid plate. Can anyone elaborate on it? I also bought FLM skid bars and motor plate. Thanks Nick!

So close to getting it to run. I just need an engine (Most likely an STS), throttle linkages (Out of stock @ SMF in blue), and servo mounts to mount the servo. Thanks for viewing guys. Will let you guys know on more updates.

lookin gdamn good man. very nice build cant wait to see the finished product. after all that you should splurge on the motor and get yourself a picco.:resp:

Hahah you're right. Not sure if I can afford that much though since this Savvy still needs some stuff to do. I'll try to save some more up to see how much I end with.

The MGT tank takes up probably 2/3 of the plate itself. When I was saying mounting on the inside, I was talking about servo. I had to relocate it because the tank took up most of the space on the plate. I could've used something like shock spacers, but then I realized how much higher the tank would be so I left it as it is now and decided to mount the servo onto the sides on the TVPs. The tank also does require new holes to drill. Wasn't a problem for me though. I just decided to mount one of the legs into one of the already present holes then whipped out the sharpie and drill for the other holes. I already went ahead and bought everything I need like I said above except the motor.

Yeah, they were the Proline Cheyennes. I removed the chrome with Easy-Off then dyed it with Rit-Dye black. In the pictures they look fine, but since this was my first dye job it looks really messy (Lots of little white spots everywhere). I also went ahead and used Axial rings on the outsides. The stock rings use SO MANY screws, it's crazy. The Axial rings are nice and don't use a lot. The holes that have screws in them now are the only ones that line up, but they do keep on pretty well. I'm thinking of changing the outsides to the Tribals and the insides to the current ones (The inside are the stock orange ones lol).

Yeah they looks sick looks almost like you got axail rock rings on there too do ya? Cause they don't say Cheyennes or what ever on the ring.

Yessir. I added that to the post above, lol. Sorry.

I already bought all the parts necessary to finish it off except the engine. I think after I buy a motor I will pick up a Spurrs wheelie bar.
