Hi guys my firestorm needs a new engine, any suggestions on a replacement?

I had the star G3.0, its at the end of its life now, really good engine, just wondering if anybody had a good experience with another after market engine? been looking around and think I'm just going to get another star G3.0, cant really fault that engine

Well, if you liked that, HPI does have a high output version:

Would require rethinking the linkage as I think the G3.0 has rotary carb vs a slide carb.

I ran an OS18CV-R(X) in my nitro MT. It was a very nice engine that tuned very easily with a decent power band. They make one with a rotary, but it has a standard output shaft:
Rotary: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGGP7&P=0
Would need a flywheel/clutch adapter: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJF69&P=M
And probably a shim kit: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNT03&P=M

Always good to have a shim kit on hand whenever changing an engine.

I agree with @olds97_lss. The OS CV-Rs are of high quality, put out good power, and are very reliable.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it, will see if i can find the os in south Africa at a decent price
