F5.9 with pullstart.

Bought two brand new HPI F5.9 Engines with pullstart. They hard to pull, I finally got one to start and run for a break in tank. The other one is harder to pull and the pull string gets locked up when pulled out, I have to rotate the flywheel by hand to get the rope to go back in. Any help? Thanks, they both for a twin build.

Loosen the glow plug to relieve some of the compression while starting, tighten it back up when it starts. as for the one not retracting it may have a problem, well worth opening that up and checking it out for damage

Ha ha my bad that’s a nice build that n ment to say pretty much same as wot JAM 1 said take apart clean n inspect

Warming the cooling heads with a heat gun (moderate heat) also helps. If you loosen the glow plug make sure you tighten it after the beast starts to roar...
