I have a savage x with stock f4.6 engine. I put it away for 2 months, and decied to run it again. the problem is that it takes awhile to warm up. before I put it away, the engine wouldn't get to full rpm for a few seconds, then it would be fine. now, it takes about a half tank before it runs right.

another question I have is that it is hard to start once it warms up.

I tried to tune it, but its possible it's not tuned right.

Start by putting the needles back to stock factory settings and start your tuning from there......

well you sound like you are not sure, resetting to factory is a good way to find out.....may as well check all the fuel and tank pressure lines for pinholes also, give it a good look over for anything may have come loose during running.......

Sounds like a good time to check out your truck and make sure everything is in good condition. I would also seal your engine. Along with the leaks mentioned earlier in this thread, your engine can be a major tuning hassle if it is not properly sealed. The link below is a very good step by step tutorial.
