Hey guys....We have a few LHS's, but only one really carries HPI parts and whatnot. Well, they didn't have a steering servo I was looking for so I started calling around to see what was available. Long story short, I found a place that had a servo...went in to buy it and why I was there I seen this motor in the case.

PICCO28.jpg

I asked him what it was and he began telling me it was a Picco 28....it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that it is not a Picco (or at least I don't think it is) I have found some info about this motor on the web, but I didn't find anything on this site...

Can anyone give me some first hand knowledge about this motor? Or does anyone know anything about it....Good? Bad? It is way cheaper than most 28 mills...thought about buying if its worth the money.

THANKS GUYS!!

i ran that mill and its a powerhouse trust me.. its actually a twin to the LRP everyone loves, it has the exact same specs as the LRP and looks pretty much the same and i just found out recently it actually comes off the same production line as the LRP and a couple other engines.. i loved mine it was easy to tune and held a tune forever and the power will put a smile on your face!!! lol so yes your correct its not a picco but it is a great engine for the price!!!

Thanks for the input SADSACK!! Did you seal the motor before you ran it? What fuel were you running with it?

I agree with SAD. A lot of the XTM mills are out of the same factory that the LRP is which is why this is a sister or twin to it. Should be a decent mill. What do they want for it?

Good call Larsen...90 bucks for the mill w/free shipping. Only problem is it will be shipped out of hong kong...minimum 2-3 weeks for delivery :/ think its worth the wait?

the one thats on ebay is a 3-port for 90 bucks...big difference between that one and the 6 port?

its a rebaged lrp spec 2 just like what grumpy said it is also a sh 28 6 port the one with red head. 3 ports are not powerful they just have lots of bottom end and die real fast at the top. get a 6 port btw tell the dude at the store is he a freaking crack head and get his motors right if he wants to survie what a turd.

hobbypeople.com doesn't have a 6 port listed. I cant find a 6-port sh .28 anywhere...where can I look at one? nothing on ebay...but I did find a brand new K4.6 for 112.99 that sounds like a pretty good deal....?

lol they're out of stock too!! what about that K4.6 for 112.99 that souds like a pretty good deal...I mean, its a good motor right?.........

Correct me if i'm wrong guys...but if I buy a new K4.6, I can run it right outta the box. If I get an Axial I will have to seal the whole thing up before I run it....I would rather spend the extra 15 bucks and not have to worry about air leaks.

lol...well of course, you could have air leaks with the most expensive motor on the market....I'm just saying that its a fact that the Axial motor needs to be sealed up before you run it because it WILL have leaks.

Think the sh 3 port is. Good buy? I don't wanna be lacking power!! I'm all about wheelies on command LOL
