today i was out bashing everything was going well for about a half a tank till the savy just died. so i tryed to restart it but when i put the roto start in the engine the rod would not turn then the red reset button button popped out so i pullled the glow plug out and try to turn it over same thing happened. the piston was not moving seemed like it was stuck. please help i have no idea whats wrong.

doesnt sound good, try turning th flywheel by hand. see if the engine is locked up or not.

Might be time to take apart the engine. Sounds like something might have broken off and locked up your engine.

Same thing happened with my Axial bud and it was the Rotostart System on the engine. A few gears broke and locked it all up on me. Start there then work your way into the engine.

I am with Judicator, check the roto-start backplate gears. Just remove the backplate and see if the gears are broken and then see if you can turn the flywheel over. If you can turn it over, make sure that everything is still together on the inside, if it gets tighter as you turn then the piston is most likely reaching the top. Just for confirmation though I would pull the entire backplate and inspect it all to be on the safe side.

+1 for Judicator advise
also it may be the cranckshaft check it and see if it has been dameged or may be the pistn got some scraches check also the cylinder sleeve it will be also scrached if the pistn is scrached

well i checked the roto start back plate it was fine so i took the backplate from the engine off and as soon as i did that the piston got loose and turns over fine now. the piston and sleeve is fine everything looks good inside so i put it back together and it works fine now.
