Engine air leak?

is there a way to check this occurence?

i just ran my truck 2day, and i noticed there is alot of oil covering the entire engine and most of the back of the truck. i checked the exhaust seals, but they seem to be fine. ( i'll replace them anyway).

I'm not sure i have a answer for you but wanted to take the time to welcome you to the forum!! and I'm sure someone might have some answers for ya soon!! my truck gets that way to but not usually all over the engine so I'm not sure.......could just be splattering all over from the exhaust..

chek the head make sure its tight.. chek the exaust gasket and spring.. make sure the exaust header is pulled tight to the crank case and has a good seal... chek the back plate make sure its tight.chek the fuel lines make sure theres not a pin hole in the one going to the carb. and chek to see exactly where the oil is comeing from. or if its more like its just collecting on every thing from the exaust. and if the engines running rich itll blow oil all over the back of the truck.good luck hope this helped
