Does anyone know if the flux trans will fit a 4.6 xss to do a electric conversion?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe all of the savage transmissions use the same housing. So the mounting is the same for all of them. Only difference is that if you go back far enough the transmission housing could only be split in half with it out of the truck, the newer units can have access to some of the gears by removing the top while in the chassis.

Someone on eBay selling the flux tranny said the case was different and would not work anyone else knows about this?

The octane has a different case I believe, the input shaft is moved over. I thought the Flux XL had a different one, but it may not.

Yeah: https://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/109448

That lists the XL flux has having the same as the octane, looking at the parts explosion for the XL flux, it shows 109448.

I run the super 5SC transmission in my Flux HP (standard length version) as it has a center diff in it. Got it from rc4me.us. I had to swap the input shaft with my original one. So, if your looking for a flux transmission, might want to look for that. Center diff combined with a slipper helps avoid destroying diffs/center axles. I run 750K in my center and it does pretty good.

Can read about it here:

Also, working on gearing changes to run 6S with the MMX/2200kv system as stock is too tall:

The only part you need to buy is the idler gear for your gearbox
You simply remove your stock 2 speed and the idler gear replaces it,
This is all that is in a flux gearbox
Part number
hpi 100905

Thanks for the input I was aware of that and that the flux has stronger gears I just was wondering if u could just put the whole gearbox in as a swap because I wanted a new one as I convert to electric.
