Hi all just recieved my Dyna 086 pipe (used)
First of all due to the oversized backplate/pullstart of my LRP .30 i couldnt get the header on all the way onto the exhaust port,
This was easily solved by filing another flat onto the rim of the flange to clear the backplate.
But now fitting it i just cant get it right, with the flange at the engine exhaust port squared and fitted all the way up and spring attached, the pipe is touching the TVP and this is opening up the joint on the header-pipe, if i force that joint closed it opens up the joint at the back of the engine, wth??
Its like there is too much of a bend on the header and its directing the pipe onto the chassis/roll bar mounting making the pipe-header joint open up, I'm also afraid that the pipe will melt the roll bar where it screws to the TVP?
I don't fancy the pipe rubbing up against the chassis and roll bar and if i pull the pipe away from the chassis just a few mm to clear the chassis it opens up both pipe joints and I'm pretty sure it will leak from them.
Also this is with the engine as close to the TVP as itl go cos I'm running tall gearing, if go for shorter gearing in the future the engine will be further in the chassis and the problem will be worse tenfold.
Any suggestions??
Thanks.
