dual air filter

hay guys I'm thinking of building a dual air filter set on a k5.9 engine to my savage x is this idea will make it have some extra power according of puting an additional air filter but without touching the carb.??????????
if any body have an idea of this plz. tell me cuz i don't want to do this thing for nothing.........🙂

I am really confused. You want to make a dual air filter, but not have the second filter touch the carburetor? The point of an "air filter" is to filter the air that goes into an engine. Without it touching the engine, it renders it useless. I have never believed in more air = more power on a nitro engine, but someone with more knowledge can chime in and help me out.

stock filters are dual stage and you wouldnt gain any more power with 2 filters do to it only having one inlet to the mill.

ya i have to agree,I'm no mechanic but i don't think it would improve performance at all maybe even make it run worse.. only so much air at a time can enter the engine no matter how many carbs there is..

i don't mean with saying not to touch the carb. the meaning you understand my friend i was thinking of connecting it with the first air filter neck but after reading your replys i don't think i will do this thing thanks guys for helping
