Well my son has been talking about doing some Drag Racing with the local group so I dug out the Blitz ESE I got a couple years back, I already had an SC Body I had done up for the Savage but it never looked quite right, so I plated the back with some kydex I had and have been rebuilding the Blitz so it can be a Drag Truck, I am using my trusty FlySky GT3B to run it and a had a GOOL RC 60 amp esc and a 5200 motor, from another project so in it went, I am almost ready to put down a few test runs then next month it will be racing the 1st and 2nd of the month here at home and in Mendocino County at RPP Hobbys place...

I finished the body mounting, I am using magnets to hold it on, I also put on the front grill decal, maybe this weekend I can get it out to some smooth pavement and see how it does run....

Well with a few races under my belt I have to say this truck is consistent and pretty fast, still a few issues but so far I am happy with how it does run.... for a 50 dollar chassis and a body I had sitting around it is not too bad, the biggest cost is wheels and tires...

My Grandson got his car all done, it is a stock Associated DR10 chassis, the body and paint colors were picked by him also, so on went a Mustang Cobra body done in black and gold, Electronics consist of a Rocket ESC and 5900kv Motor I got off ali express he got to run it on the track last saturday for his first time racing it, the radio I got on a trade, it is a basic 2 ch 2.4 gig system but it also has a 3 position switch to make it easy to limit throttle until he gets better and the torque setting on the esc is set to 1 out of 9 so plenty of room for him to grow into the car, he did really well no major crashes or incidents to speak of.

Work done on the Blitz Drag Truck this week, I managed to find RPM arms for both ends, installed the rear arms and the Hot Racing alloy hingepin holders and the new Hubs to go with the parts, install was easy and really adds support to the rear of the truck, 99% of the flex is gone which will help with stability I am hoping, they do look pretty sweet and parts are getting hard to find for this chassis now...
next raceday is the 10th of September so we will be hoping for these to work well, also of note are the Lunsford Titanium links and RPM ballcups, next up is the RPM front arms and bulkhead and then the suspension will be completed, it already had the spindles and c hubs and steering cranks done when I got it years back...

Well I got all the parts for the Outlaw Drag car, been collecting parts awhile, the Chassis is an AKULA Street Eliminator made by Will Smiths company SkunkWerks in 3mm carbon fiber, the rear is all aluminum from Integy and Exotek Racing, the transmission is all hard steel gears inside and Team Brood Titanium gear shafts, the shocks are DR10 pieces I got from E Bay, they have 4mm shafts and are really smooth, I built all the shocks myself, green slimed all the o rings and seals filled with 32.5 losi oil, the front end is a modified B6.1 bulkhead using all Associated DR10 arms, the carbon tower is included in the kit and is using DR10M shocks filled with 27.5 oil.. The links are Lunsford Punishers and using stock DR10 ball ends..
undecided on body as yet, wheels and rear tires by J Concepts, front wheels and tires are also J Concepts pieces, Hotties up front in blue compound and Mambos also blue compound for the rear, I have other compounds and sets ready to go in various compounds and different suppliers also for testing purposes..
The Electronics are a Hobbywing XR10 esc and a Rotor Ron 4.5 turn sensored motor and I have a few other motors to try out also, the servo is an SPT 4412LV shorty 12kg from Amazon, it won't need much more for steering and this one looks pretty good for the price...
The Radio system I plan on using is a FlySky FSG7P, it does so many things plus I can get other RX and run many of my other toys on it also, win win. ok on to a few pics of things as they are now....

A little more done on the SkunkWurks chassis, wheelie bar and rear body mount arrived and was installed, also got the alloy rear alloy wheels and special tires fitted to them, I have several sets of rear tires in differing compounds, widths and heights to see what will work on our surfaces we race on, still got to install electronics and a few other items, soon as the rain stops I will paint the Proline SuperJ body and possibly get a bit of tune and setup time, gonna be a fun 2023 season of drag racing....

Little update, I have been collecting parts and electronics for awhile this winter and i finally got the last bits for the car, SkyRC GNSS will give telemetry speed, ft traveled, MPH and lots more, I also am putting in a cap pack from Yeah Racing too keep things from browning out, The ESC I selected is a Tekin RX8 gen3, gonna be putting power to a Tekin 3.5 Gen4 brushless motor, also going to be using the hotwire bluetooth tuner, The ESC has so many parameters that can be adjusted it is scary....
The Body is going to be from Proline, it is the Super J promod. I am not sure if I should be scared or excited or a bit of both, but I am itching to get some laps in and see where it goes, I am hoping to get it into the 1.6 or 1.7 but there is gonna be a learning curve, I already have a laptop to take with me so I can tune easily at the track...
