thx ezeraden.. your right it takes alot! of work .. and the smaller and more detailed a piece is the harder it is to hold and keep your fingers out of the buffing wheels... i think the cooling heads look great on any truck .. a motor should have chrome on it ..lol its a motor ... like the show piece of any truck just like the tires wheels and body...... and that one piece really sets your truck off.... hit me up n let me know what engine you have n all that .. i can do it for you when your ready..

got some aluminum skids ... deanodized them and polished and buffed them chrome . still need the fine buffing on them and the center skid done .. posted on first post...

Look into a company called Rio Grande the sell all sorts of jewelry buffs and polishing compounds. You want the stiched yellow buff wheels. Than for compounds you want

Bobbing compound
Black rough
Green rough
blue rough.
Red rough

They also have this green stuff comes in a roll that you wrap your finger tips with to polish. Blocks the heat and let's you polish much easier cause you don't need to worry about hitting the buff wheel with your fingers anymore.

thats what buffs i use and the black and the red and white compounds.. on high speed ... works great but gets hot lol... thx alex ....
