Alright, I just wanted to check and see how many use a Sack for charging there LiPo's in. Some may have no clue and some may use them already. Anyway, just wanted to bring this up to inform people of these. This may be coming from the Fireman in me but anyway. They are out there for your safety, your Local FD will appreciate it as well.

These sacks can be purchased at many LHS's and if your's doesn't have them try to get them to get them in. Otherwise, you can get them on line or ebay for pretty cheap. They do a great job of containing the hand grenade if something goes off when charging.

I have 3 of them and try to use them every time. I do have 2 LiPo hump packs that are in trucks that are a bear to get out so they do not get charged in the truck but otherwise everything I have gets charged in a sack when charging.

My brother had a pack that was acting up and he put it outside inside of a sack and charged it to see what would happen and it went up inside the sack. The sack did a great job of protecting everything around and contained it very well. I will try to get over there and get a picture of this sack at some point.

Anyhow please vote and I do strongly suggest spending the money and getting a sack for charging in. Also, do your charging of your LiPo's out side. LiPo's are safe if taken care of and charged correctly, but at the first sign of something weird dispose of them properly.

Always Safety First!

Here is a picture of one of my newer sacks:

I got 2 of em on ebay for around $10.00 shipped. Look just like the one in the pic you posted.

I don't use them during the charging but use them to store the packs inside the house. I also put the pouch with packs inside a large stock pot that i seldom use.

That's a great idea Freddy to store them inside of as well. Remember these will not hold back all the smoke the pack will let off if they go which is a rotten smell, they will contain the fire well.

i use them for charging in the garage, and store them in the house in a fire proof box. I don't mess around when it comes to these babies, ive heard to many horror stories, and i don't want to be one myself.

yep. i can't think of a single good reason not to use them.

i can think of many reasons you should use them.

Sack is most definitely used! Can never be too careful! I managed to buy 1 sack per LiPo... just in case one goes up, it wont take them all with them.... THAT WOULD BE EXPENSIVE!

One thing I have said somewhere on this site before is to try and use a lid if you store them in a pot or any fire proof item because it will snuff the flames a little faster if one did go up. Lack of oxygen. I keep mine in a crock pot with the lid on, just because it's easily accessible.

Wow this is great. More use these than I thought.

Best is to charge them speratly, just in case one goes they don't as mentioned above.
