Diff spur gear spinning, but spider gears arent & Metal vs Non-Metal Diff Gaskets

I just got a used savage gtxl-1 on the 13th, and it was working fine, tilll i set the punch to 9. Shortly after, the car lost power but i could see that the driveshafts were spinning. I took out the diff, opened it up, and saw that when i spun the outdrive, the spider gears weren't spinning. How do i fix this? Also if anyone has one dogbone or 2 cvd's for the wheels in the LA area, tell me, I need one.

Until you put a center diff in it, the front and rear diffs won't last long, I also recommend using at least 100k cst oil on the diffs. On mine, I'm using 200k front and back, 500k center.

It does, in this video I did some rolling backflips, which is even harder, and I'm doing it with 80c LiPo's and without a wheelie bar

but also i wont be running a center diff i don't have the money rn, so what should i run?

The Savage platform has potential, but not in stock form. If you want to run your savage like I do in this video, those are just some of the must-do mods:

º Machined bulletproof diffs HPI- #102692
º Install a center diff kit of your liking
º Change the diff fluids for thicker ones
º Buy shim washers to do a proper diff shimming
º Savage XL 17mm Hex Hub Conversion Set HPI- #160141

If you don't have money atm, adjusting the slipper clutch is your only option for now...

Well, I got the rc4me center diff trans. On my bench, I'm not sure how other guys have installed it. A few things differ that I need to deal with before moving forward with it. I got it for the sole purpose of trying to help my diffs last longer. Even running 4S, I still have busted 3 or 4 diffs on bad rear or front end landings. Hopefully this will help in those situations.

The first issue, the input shaft isn't keyed to the hex washer like the stock input shaft. So, if the slipper slips, an unkey'd washer is going to be likely to spin with the spur and not the shaft which will be prone...

Also I'm not running 8s, I'm running 6s stock electronics. Would 200k work good or should I go with something else?

I'm not running 8S either, it's an 8S combo, but I only run it on 6S, 200k is good.
