Hi savvy gurus.

so i installed a bunch of new parts on the truck in the last month. here are the main ones

3sp with hs gear
lrp z28s3
jammin jp4 pipe with stock header
new radio

first off...this thing rriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiips

it was running fine until my receiver batteries crapped out. i changed the batteries fired it up and the motor would rev but it was not going anywhere. feared the tranny or diffs.

i read that if it was the diffs, i would hear sounds when i lift the rear tires and try to spin them. well i tried that on the fronts and rears, and it would try to move all four wheels..so i think the diffs are fine.

well before tearing it apart, i inspected the flywheel and noticed when i was turning the spur gear, it wouldnt grab the slipper clutch..do you guys think its just loose? i tried tightening it this morning and tried running it, but the same thing happeend. do you guys think i just need to tighten it or could it be something else? thanks all!

Push the truck down with force on a goods surface so the wheels cant turn. See if you can force the slipper to move by hand with the wheels locked up like I said. you should not be able to. If you can tighten it. Or just lock it down and see if it stops.

Maxx beat me but with out pulling the mill check the slipper first it is the faster fix. If not slipper dig in...

if its not the slipper, check the lock pins that hold the clutches together inside the tranny. when i first got my 3sp kit and installed it, took it out and the pin that held the clutch snapped in half.

guys thanks. i guess the slipper clutch is actually not grabbing bc the torque on the lrp. so i was doing it factory spec with tightening the nut on the spur all the way down and loosening the nut by half turn...well turns out on this motor (for me anyways) it works better when i tighten it and loosen just a hair.

once again..you guys rock
