This is my first savage and I bought a decent motor and header froma buddie. Upon getting it home I believe I have the wrong header. Anyone help me out with this prob, here are some pics. As you can see no way id have to remove the inner shock.

Chris, you can address this in several ways.

1. you can buy a ths header for savage that is angled different & you can keep your stocker shocks https://secure.handzon.com/itechapp/admin/checkout/?storeid=1531&prodid=37849&storereferer=http://www.thsracing.com/18-manifolds.html
heres how it looks, see how its tighter to the mill...

2. you can get a set of big bore shocks. only 1 shock per corner & mount on the outside http://storefront.smfstore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=31_93&products_id=2008

3. you can get a set of extended tvps which will give you more clearance between your mill & shocks.

4. you can prob just mount your stock header to that pipe using a silicone coupler and not spend any more $$.

Here is a pic of big bores & ext tvp's using a dynamite header that would not work on a standard length savage with stock shock set up.

hope this gives you some different choices bro :resp:

I was looking at the header. Its got a flanged end. It looks like a one piece header like Frddyj set up. I think if u take the rubber connection off and mount it to your pipe your might be good?Cheers!
