Okay so yesterday i tested the new Badlands tires on my XL, and they have excellent grip i am very impressed with them...
So what i have noticed since installing these tires is i have fried a slipper pad to nothing, and now today the clutch bell lost all its teeth, no damage to the spur...i was flying good one second then had nothing the next, and upon inspection i saw all the teeth on the CB were non existent...
Now my theroy is that since installing the smaller tire i lost some of my top speed in the process, so now the motor is straining harder to get up to speed faster, b/c now i noticed how much longer it takes to hit 3rd, where as with the terapins i had a lot of wheel slip with those pillows and it allowed the trans to shift faster b/c the wheels were slipping on the terrain, not with the badlands, these things bite!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Maybe i had to slipper too tight, or the mesh of the spur and bell were off, i did notice a slight wobble to the spur as i turned it by hand, but nothing to drastic, so in two days with these new tires, i burned up a slipper pad, and ate a clutch bell...Is it the tires?????? Should i run a different Spur and Bell Combo??? I know from regular vehicles that changing tire sizes will change gear ratios, I'm just trying to figure it out on a scale level...
I would assume that changing to a different spur and clutch bell combo with the smaller diameter tire would make a huge different in the performance of my vehicle...Whos got some tips for me here b/c I'm lost, and need to buy parts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
