I am new to the nitro rc scene and I was wondering, if I were to add about 8 inches of tubing onto the end of the exhaust pipe, would that affect the engine? I realize that it would be extending the pipe quite a bit but would it change how the engine ran or anything like that? Thanks in advance!

first off welcome to the forum my friend!! secondly are u meaning putting the tubing on the end to help prevent all the fuel-oil from splattering all over your truck? ... if so i have a silicone exhaust deflector and have used it without much "if any" difference to how it runs..... and did help a bit for stopping a bit of the gunk i guess but have since lowered my x more so it would have been dragging almost so I'm not using it at the moment lol

ya as long as it wasnt to long it would be fine as the ones that u buy work fine...... and there only like $5.00..

Welcome to the forum! I have used the deflector also and the only difference I noticed was the engine needed to be leaned out because the defelcetor increased the back pressure.

Thank you for the welcomes! I think I will add a deflector to it! Thank you for all of the advice!
