I have been having an issue ever since I have rotated the fuel nipple on the carb 180 degrees. This is a F4.6 with 3.75 gal on it.

I have been having trouble with glow plugs. I have tried the MC8, MC59, and the OS8 glow plugs. When I did rotate the nipple it seemed like it went and pulled away from the carb body. I believe this caused a bigger gap with the internals of the HSN because until I was about 4 full turns in from flush I would just flood the engine. Only after I was about 4.25 turns in was the mill able to not bog out. But my issue is that I am going through a glow plug before my 160cc tank is done. When I pull the plug it is not a nice golden brown it is more like a dark oily residue on it and on the piston head. I have been running in 45-60f weather, dry and sunny. I use 20% nitro. When I was running I never saw a temp over 270f. I have gone through the different posts about tuning from AOD and Purenitro. I get a lot of blue smoke throughout the power band. She does scream, I just can't get through a tank without having the glow plug die on me.

anyone got any ideas as to what might be happening?

IMO, i don't think the position of the HSN would make too much of a difference. Have you taken the head off and inspected the top of the piston? Sometimes when the glow goes bad, little bits of the glow plug filament drop onto the piston and rattle around blowing another plug. Good luck!

Jeff, try puttin the nipple back to where you had it, run another fuel line & see if that fixes it. Start there & we'll take several "what if's" out of the equation.
