Cant get heat

I ran the first two tanks in my new 4.6. The highest i got the temps were 166f. On the second tank, i drove it in circles and still dident even geti it up to 200f. Do i have to drive it that hard on break in?

temps are going to be pretty low because the needles are really rich.

But don't i want to reach at least 200f or so to properly seat the piston and sleeve?

you can lean the HSN a little on break-in because sometimes factory is too rich and it doesn't let the temps go up

yes your correct temps around 200 are ideal for break in, if its chilly were u are alot will wrap the head with a sock or something to help build the heat up,,
