can not fit my fuel tank ???

i have just started to get back in to my nitro cars and basicly iam rebuliding my savage and cant get the fuel tank back on as u can see from the pics the posts are not bent nor is the chassie it did used to fit now have i fit the posts the wrong way around ??? what did i do wrong ???

The front mount is supposed to come through the TVP . The flat part lays against the inside of the TVP and the screw goes through the TVP from the tank side into it. Try that and things should line up.

Try mounting the front tank bracket from inside the TVP, if ya know what I mean...that's why it's sticking out too far right now. from what I can see in your pictures.
