Byrons has a new gen 2 pro driver 40% nitro fuel. A main has it in stock. Just thought I would spread the word
 
Awww hell ya! Don't know how wise it is to use 40% but I'm trying it.

I'd be a bit scared to run the 40%... Am i being to conservative by running only 20% to bash around? I've used 30% on my Serpent 960, but this was just for the track.. Any thoughts??

I run 25 racer it has only 9 percent oil instead of 11 and I will probly stick with that but would like to hear some more info on the 40. And you could and most likely should up the nitro you run to 25 or 30 your truck will run cooler and have more power.
 
I just read in one of the new mags that they were coming out with something crazy like 55% or 60%, I can't remember. I got three mags in the mail in the last week so I don't remember which one it was. I'll try to figure out where it was and reference it here.

man thast some high percentage for land based motors but hey its for drag racing not truggy buggy and mts drag is only one option wot for secs lol
 
There comes a point when you just cant burn the fuel anymore. Not exactly sure where that is. Robin could clarify. 40% and up are usually for helis and boats. The timming and pinch are much different and usually bigger ccs.

is 40% fuel gonna make any more power or what? ive heard that byron's is a great fuel and some guys on here swear by it (mostly 25 & 30% from what ive read).

adb are you an experienced modder or you just tried your hand at modding this particular mill?

if your experienced, can you give some insight as to how the 40% would affect motor performance (ie is it really gonna make a difference over 30% or is it a gimmick). id like to know what an experienced modder & experienced racer think about this 40%.

if your a first-timer & you try this fuel, can you post up your finding and let us know if their is any differences? temps, rpm, power, etc.

Thank you farmawi, yes i know the nitro-motor that The Pope NJ has purchased and Extreme RC Mods, they are a very well-known company. It appears that he is asking for advice on how the fuel would affect his motor because doesn't want to experiment on his new motor.

I was refering to adb140275 because he states that he will try this fuel in his modified nitro motor as stated below.

I have no plans on using this fuel. as I said before I am more than happy with the 25% pro driver that I have been running. I posted it up because I got an email about it from a-mains or tower can't rember now.

When I said about putting it in a drag mod I was talking about using it for a quick drag race not for normal running bashing or racing.
 
I've done a few engines before... but that engine has 5 gallons and a blown bearing. i modified it myself. if you keep it rich enough and shim the head up it will be fine... should give better performance, worse fuel economy.

leaner needles equal cooler operating temps ?????? lol isnt that backwards
