I Bought The New Aluminium Diffs With The 4 Spider Gears And The Added Shimes. What I Would Like To Know Is What Is The Best Diff Fluid To Run And Also What Kind Of Grease To Put On The Outside Gear? If Anyone Has A Suggestion Let Me Know Thanks. Savdog

Any kind of fluid is ok, What your looking at is the weight ... I run 50,000 all around.. And for the outside gears I just get some black grease and use alot of it.

So Black Grease Do You Mean Just Any All Purpose Grease? Also What Weight Diff Fluid Comes In The Diffs?

I pack the outside of my diffs with bearing grease, and I mean pack them. Haven't had a problem with the ring and pinion ever. As for the diffs I put a locker in the rear since I got tired of replacing the spider gears. I'm with SJ on using the thick diff oil. It creates a limited slip effect. Peace

If their isn't anything on the ring and pinion gears would that cause them to click?

The X 4.6 was almost dry......

I agree with the guys, for all out bashing or just beating around, I like a

thicker oil in the diffs. It puts more power to the ground and is alot more fun.

I would say no, if they are shimmed too tight they make some more noise then normal.

or if there slipping(too loose)

A clicking noise useally means missing tooth on one of the gears.
