i tried blue thunder once and my temps shot up really high, then when the bottle was finished i went back to my usual brand and temps went back to normal. and i've heard this alot as well from other people!!

all i can get locally is backyard basher but i haven't had any problems with it actually... alot here use odonnell's i've read so it must be a good fuel as well...

Blue Thunder Fuel sucks. I used to use it only because my LHS recommended it. The oil content is soooo high it's ridiculous. I've switched to Trinity Monster Fuel and have been happy ever since. I have heard great things about Sidewinder fuel as well.

You were probably running the sport blend Sadsack....It sucks lol.

The HP8 blend is actually good from what i heard. I would give it a try.

yes actually it was the sport blend now that u mention it, i was mistaken and thought they were the same fuel, my apologies....

Yeah I used the Blue Thunder for the first gallon or so on my first truck. I will never use it again. OWB's and Blue Thunder don't mix too well....I didn't like the performance either

If Blue Thunder HP8 and traxxas are your only options i would definitely go with the HP8...I think the HP8 is a race type blend so it will have a good low but safe oil content that won't make your OWB slip.

i tried the blue thunder sport on my first buggy & it was oily & made the mill run on the hot side.

id say get a quart of the blue thunder H8, run it & let us know how it works out.

I would but the problem is I will be breaking in a new OS mill and want to find a good fuel and stick with it.

Out of the two, BT and traxxas, I would go with the traxxas. Yes it does have more oil then needed but it is a better fuel then BT imo. I ran top fuel for a while with no problems but when the lhs brought in sidewinder it was a no brainer. You can switch fuel as well with no ill effects, just re-tune it and your good to go.

i ran BT in my f4.6 and i never had any problems with it other than it had so much oil. it never got over heated. but since i found a place with byrons i switched to it and it is cheaper then BT.
